TKE Leadership Academy

Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity has aimed to continue the tradition of the Charles R. Walgreen Jr. TKE Leadership Academy by cultivating leaders, providing them with the tools and application of a solid life skills portfolio in a controlled environment. The National Founders, and their leadership styles, are shown as the prime examples to challenge the current process and inspire all members to have a shared vision for the future vitality of the Fraternity.

The focus given to attendees is that to truly lead their tribe, they must first create transitions. Only by developing a full understanding of their personal values, and the values of the Fraternity, can aspiring leaders truly begin the journey of leadership in TKE and beyond. Building better tribes and building a better world starts with building better men.

With the TKE Leadership Academy, the Fraternity has aimed to continue the tradition of cultivating leaders by providing the tools and application of a solid portfolio of life skills in a controlled environment. The National Founders are shown as the prime examples of leadership styles to challenge the current process and inspire our members to have a shared vision for the future vitality of the Fraternity.

The Academy provided challenges that symbolized real life situations and forced me to come up with an answer, said Academy Graduate Brian Savard, Iota-Beta (Susquehanna University). In no other experience in my life have I ever brought classroom material past its boundaries into real life application.

Through a sequenced and balanced blend of workshops, small group discussions, outdoor experiential activities and keynote speakers, each Frater will be touched at a personal level and self discover new boundaries mentally, morally and socially. The curriculum will take deeper looks at Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service and Brotherhood. By thinking critically and rising to lead us into our future, each Leadership Academy Teke will walk away more focused, dedicated and having a new sense of the concept of fraternity
